I am not much into ethnic wear. Though I absolutely love the traditional Saree and I admire women who wear it everyday, however it’s not me. Also, having a 5 year old munchkin makes it very difficult to handle a suit let alone the whole 9 yards.
I also feel that ethnic wear doesn’t suit me a lot. Since my personal style is more about layering be it jackets or stoles I find it hard to do so in ethnic attire. However, I got a lot of requests from friends asking me to do a post featuring me and my ethnic sensibilities.
So, I decided to go ahead. I picked out one of my favourite white suit with multi colour hand embroidery. It’s a pure crepe suit with a chiffon dupatta. This suit has a special place in my heart for 2 reasons. Firstly, it was part of my trousseau and it’s still in good condition, well, I am pretty obsessive about my stuff.. 😛 Secondly, this was one of the few pieces which my dad approved off. He was quite mortified usually with my choices coz I love bling and bright and he likes the complete opposite. So this according to him was a very chic and classy number. 😀 I couldn’t agree with him more.
I wore minimalistic make up as I wanted to enhance the look of my attire.
