My story as a Blogger!

I have always loved to write. We all remember the scrap books and the diary notes we wrote in school. It was a thrill to pen my thoughts and then have my friends read and appreciate them. Who knew then it could be a career option?? 😱Earlier it used to be on paper now it’s all digital. So it’s no wonder I turned my hobby into a career which I am passionate about. 😍 I don’t think a day goes by without by writing about something which makes me happy. Of course it’s not easy being a blogger and more so a mommy blogger. 🙈 yeah I have over 10 drafts on my word press currently. But then what is life without its challenges and how we strive to overcome them?
Coming back to my blog, I aim to write on Fashion and Lifestyle that could be adapted in our daily lives. We as women tend to forget ourselves when we don new roles. The Daughter, Wife, Daughter in Law, Mom, Friend and various other roles start taking priority. The woman is lost or hidden or just stops existing. Of course we do bring it back to life off and on and bless those Pula meets when we come alive just as the Phoenix rising from its ashes! 😀However, getting dressed and looking good is not the only thing that one should focus on. It is important to be well turned out as it is not just a reflection of your personality but also of your home and family. And who does not like to look and feel good. ☺️

But on a serious note we are so talented so why should we not put it to use. When I started blogging 2 years back I worked gratis for people. I randomly took assignments. However, it wasn’t like I didn’t want to earn money or feel valued for my hard work, it was more for the experience as well as the fact that I was getting to learn on the job which I loved to do. Of course I have immense gratitude for people who had faith in me and my capabilities. They actually put their brands in my hands and I guess I did a decent job as I was also retained by some clients. 😇

No career is easy and especially if you are working from home. It is naturally assumed that you can handle both work and home with equal ease. Actually it’s quite the contrary. It takes a lot of courage and tremendous effort to juggle both. Through this post I shall share how I do it:-

My 5 Ps

Plan:- It may be a corporate term yet it works well even in daily life. No harm in planning a little in advance about small things even those not related to work – what meal you have to cook, segregate clothes for laundry, decide your gym clothes rather than standing in front of your wardrobe for 15 minutes. Trust me this does save a lot of time and you can use it when you really need it. So go ahead plan your time bank and save those extra minutes.  👍

Practice:- Of course everything needs to be practiced. Only planning won’t help. Sometimes even when you go as per plan your day wouldn’t go well, it’s okay. Keep up the good work, challenge yourself and keep trying till you have a well balanced routine. And yeah no one expects you to be boring and following the same pattern however you know what works best for you and your family. I make sure I order from out atleast twice a week so my hubby and son are not bored of my cooking and I get rest from the kitchen too. ☺️

Persevere:- Nothing comes easy. Hard work and constant efforts only yield results. Initially, it may get depressing as it was for me that I didn’t get my choice of work or money and whether it was a wrong career move. But today because I didn’t give up I can actually chose my work as well as compensation. Don’t feel shy to ask for help. When I started out I didn’t have Pula or other networking groups to share my concerns. You girls do. So make the most of it and don’t give up. 👏

Prize:- I often say this to my gal pals. Prize and celebrate yourselves each day. Don’t wait for a birthday or anniversary to celebrate life. That can happen each day. A small message, phone call is all it takes to make you feel happy and content. The world needs a lot of gratitude and compassion so start yourself and see what you get in return. I make sure I call up friends and connect with them at a personal level. It makes me happy. I shop for myself a lot, small things but keeps me going to handle the mundane and make it interesting. 🙃😉

Pray:- Any form of prayer or blessing that you can do is enough. To be thankful and have gratitude is the most rewarding. I can never get tired of saying thank you for my beautiful family and of course friends. The only thing is that your prayer should come from the depths of your heart. Only then it is worthwhile. I follow Buddhism and it has calmed me and I have seen a lot of reason to life. No ones life is easy , neither is mine but my daily prayers give me the courage to brave it all  smilingly.🙏😊
