I have never been the one to follow trends or ape someone else’s style. Of course, I keep abreast of the latest fads, however, I have always had my own individual wardrobe style, even if it is not in sync with the latest trends. A pair of denims with a fitted tee, a shift dress or a flowy skirt with a tube top, it could be anything and I’ll wear it on any occasion. However, one trend which has always fascinated me is the denim on denim trend. I have always observed bloggers sporting some really chic styles whilst carrying it off with aplomb.
Denim to me has never been just a piece of clothing. It inspires a lot of spunk and confidence even when I just wear a pair of denims. It totally changes the look of any outfit and adds character to the look you are wanting to sport. It oozes oomph and style and is a favourite amongst all – men, women, kids. They are classic and can be worn unisex as well. Although the original denim color is blue, yet now with evolving fashion, you can find a black or a charcoal denim as well. Even coloured denims were spotted doing the rounds at some point, however I didn’t find them too appealing. I am more of a vintage person. I think the maximum experimenting I’ve done is ripped denims and I am loving that at the moment.
So, anyways I also decided to try it out. Initially, I was a bit skeptic how and what would I team it with. My favourite fitted vest from Zara came to my rescue. I tucked it in the denims and wore a Lee jacket which has just been lying in my wardrobe. A couple of pics and Voila my look was created. 😉
Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did posing for them.
Until next time Stay Fab and Keep Scribbling! 🙂
