The Crop & Cape Story

Hey guyz. How have you all been? I cannot believe we are in August. The last two months have been crazy with hectic work and personal schedules. Work wise it has been nothing less than trippy, some great collaborations, meeting some fantastic people, learning, implementations et all. So humbled by all the love and support that I have always got. It truly keeps me motivated and keeps my passion alive.

So, for the first time I am dabbling so many things together. I have always enjoyed multi tasking and I am pretty good at it as well, but this has been truly an achievement as well.

I am loving designing outfits for myself and friends. It is quite a rewarding experience to see a fabric turn into something that you have just envisioned. Not only is it unique but also tailored made to suit your personal stats as well as tastes. You get to experiment, wear flattering attire and look lovely inside out.

This was another piece I created from some fabric that I had lying around. It was a suit piece but then that is boring right? 😉 So I turned the bottom piece into a crop top with some gota patti on the sleeves. I used the dupatta as an open cape. It is a pretty bandhini soft georgette with a nice flow. It can be also worn over denims and a crop top.

The kurta was heavy so I made a front open jacket to be worn on formal occasions. It has got heavy work on the neck, is a bright pink and just the perfect outfit when you want to dress up for a traditional function. I couldn’t think of a way to style it, so I haven’t put up pics of it.  I paired the dupatta and cape with shiny beige pleated pants from All About You By Deepika Padukone.

Sharing some pics with you. Hope you like them.
