Fusion Styling

Hey you lovely peeps. Here’s wishing each and everyone of you a Fabulous Start to the much awaited 2021. Hope #2021 brings each one of you good health, happiness and a lot of prosperity.

I am kickstarting doing the two things I love the most, expressing my thoughts and views on Style and Fashion. To give a small brief about me for all my new readers – I am a Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger. I love fusion styling and also adding a dash of bling and glam to all my looks. I am also an Entreprenuer, Model and I handle digital marketing and strategising for brands across various lifestyle niches. My blog is my personal expression and I love penning my thoughts down.

January started off on a great note when a blogger friend and I decided to shoot together. Simultaneously, another fellow blogger was kind enough to encourage me to be a part of a blogging challenge. It was just the motivation I needed and I immediately accepted her offer.

I was resuming professional shoots after a year, since I was on a break even before the pandemic. Amongst other looks, I was excited to shoot this one for more than one reason. Fisrtly, it is my favourite style and second all the brands I hand picked for my look are women entreprenuers. Nothing gives me more joy to support people in my own environment, so this look deserved a blog post.

Coming back, heres a rundown of the look I created. I picked up an offwhite crinkled long dress with gold detailing at the base. A very important thing to keep in mind is to always have a neutral colour as atleast one of your basic pieces when you are layering. It enhances your look easily and effortlessly without making it look gaudy or messy.

Next I chose a bright colour for the second layer. Opt for either prints, patterns or even solids as long as it stands out. I picked a turquoise blue jacket with muted gold work all over. That’s all it took to transform my look. I wore a coordinated set of maang tikka and earrings to give a rich look, also a statement gold ring. A beautiful beaded boho bag and matching mojris to complete my look.

Fusion Styling is easy and unique and almost like wine, gets better each time. There is a new element of creative styling one can add using the same pieces of clothing, and voila you get a brand new look each time.

I have listed a few other ways how can you style the two pieces:-

  1. Wear the maxi as is. Add tons of boho jewellery to accentuate your look.
  2. Wear the jacket with a pair of denims and a tube or a camisole.
  3. Add a dupatta and a broad belt over the jacket to add more defined layers.
  4. Style a heavy dupatta or even a saree over the maxi to go all out.

I hope you guys enjoy reading this blog, as much as I enjoyed creating it. Do share your opinions on my look and also any other styling hacks you can think of. I would love to hear from you. Also, do let me know any specific topics you would like me to blog on. Ill be happy to create content accordingly.

Until next time – Stay Fab and Keep Scribbling!!

The best thing like about fusion is you don’t have to give up old suits or gowns, Little bit of thoughtful ix and match and you have a new look.
